Sunday Castelfranco Pisa in search of the external blitz on the field of the Omag-Mt San Giovanni in Marignano

The middle blocker Fucka: «Tough race but we are ready». Coach Bracci: «I ask the girls to play intelligently»

It will be a complicated match, but Fgl-Zuma Castelfranco Pisa is ready to take the field to try to give themselves continuity of performance after the first success in Serie A2 Tigotà achieved last week. The third day of the championship is getting closer and closer, a round that will see the Tuscan freshman away to San Giovanni in Marignano. The opponent of the day will be Omag-Mt, a very strong team with high-sounding names, one above all that of Serena Ortolani, a player who needs no introduction. The Rimini club had an extraordinary start to the season, with two wins out of two and not even a set lost against C.B.L. Costa Volpino and Clai Imola Volley.

                                           Tatjana Fucka

However, Fgl-Zuma goes into this match with confidence, an extra boost given by the first points won in the championship thanks to the tie-break brought home last Sunday in the exciting match against Casalmaggiore. This is also confirmed by Tatjana Fucka, the great protagonist of that same match with her 20 points on the scoresheet. «Certainly when you win the training week is better. We are working hard for this new competition», admits the middle blocker  born in 1999. On her performance, however, she comments as follows: «We all gave our best, it was a team victory. It wouldn’t have been possible for me to score 20 points if there hadn’t been an important choral performance». Looking ahead, however, Fucka has no doubts about Omag-Mt: «It will be a tough challenge, San Giovanni boasts some very strong players like Ortolani, Nardo and Consoli. We will give the best of ourselves, last Sunday’s match against Casalmaggiore unlocked us and we are more aware of our capabilities».

The team will leave tomorrow for Romagna and then take the field on Sunday at 5pm. Coach Marco Bracci‘s analysis is very clear: «Omag-Mt is one of the strongest teams in our group, but from one from a certain point of view it is also very stimulating to face teams like this. We are preparing for a difficult match, we will have to play intelligently».

The referees of the match will be Massimo Ancona and Emilio Sabia. At the video check Ciro Tramontano.

This is the complete program of the third round, which will be played as always on Sunday at 5pm, except for exceptions noted below.
