Super Cup on the weekend of 28-29 September, start of the Championship the following weekend and Scudetto semi-final, as well as the Final, the best of five matches
Today, Wednesday 29 May in the Garisenda Room of the Hotel NH Bologna De La Gare, the usual end-of-season Assembly of the Women’s Serie A Volleyball League was held, bringing together the Board of Directors of the Consortium and the representatives of the individual Companies.
The meeting opened with compliments from the President Mauro Fabris for the excellent season that has just passed, not only for the successes achieved in Europe, but also for the numbers of attendance in the arenas, audiences on TV and on social media. The president then reiterated the importance of continuing to grow as a movement and continuing discussions to obtain tax exemption for sports sponsorships as soon as possible, on which fruitful dialogues are currently underway with the political authorities.
The discussion then moved on to the 2023-24 budget, with an update on the current situation, and to the existing contracts with Master Group Sport and Volleyball World. With regards to the Admissions Regulations, the deadline for applications to participate in the next championships has been set at July 2, 2024.
Subsequently, the assembly approved the Serie A1 planning for the 2024-25 season, which will open with the Super Cup scheduled for the weekend of 28-29 September, with the start of the Championship the following weekend, and which will include the Scudetto semi-finals, as well as the Final, best of five matches. The decision regarding the planning of the Serie A2 has been postponed to the consultation. Finally, the absence of the Lega Volley Summer Tour for summer 2024 has been confirmed.
